In a groundbreaking move towards sustainable energy solutions, Whitebark Energy Limited has forged a strategic partnership with international Geothermal Developer CeraPhi Energy. This collaboration signals a significant step forward in Australia's energy transition, particularly in the realm of geothermal power.

Whitebark's recent acquisition of an exploration license application for Geothermal Energy (EPG) in the Greater Brisbane and Gold Coast Region sets the stage for a pioneering endeavor. Covering approximately 589 square kilometers, this tenement holds immense potential for the generation and sale of geothermal power, positioning Whitebark as a key player in the region's renewable energy landscape.

Central to this partnership is CeraPhi Energy's cutting-edge technology, the CeraPhiWell™. This revolutionary closed-loop system is not only geologically agnostic but also boasts the ability to repurpose end-of-production Oil and Gas wells, offering a significant de-risking factor in new geothermal developments. With its capacity for long-term, dispatchable renewable energy production, the CeraPhiWell™ technology aligns seamlessly with Whitebark's vision of becoming a leader in Australia's energy transition.

Adam Stepanoff, Whitebark's General Manager, expresses confidence in the collaboration, emphasizing its pivotal role in achieving the company's ambitious goals. "CeraPhi's technology and expertise will help deliver on this vision through significantly enhancing exploration and development outcomes," Stepanoff states, underlining the importance of geothermal energy as a reliable and cost-effective renewable energy source.

Echoing this sentiment, Karl Farrow, Founder and CEO of CeraPhi Energy, emphasizes the vast potential of the partnership. "These tenements present a huge opportunity to scale geothermal energy," Farrow remarks, highlighting the shared commitment to driving innovation and sustainability in the region.

Ceraphi recently acquired Third Energy as reported earlier

As the world shifts towards cleaner energy alternatives, the alliance between Whitebark Energy and CeraPhi Energy stands as a beacon of progress. With their combined expertise and pioneering technology, they are poised to usher in a new era of renewable energy production, one that holds promise for a greener, more sustainable future.

Geothermal Milestone Reached: Banska PGP-4 Well in Szaflary, Poland Hits 5-Kilometer Depth By : Robert Buluma In a significant development for geothermal energy enthusiasts, drilling operations at the Banska PGP-4 well in Szaflary, Poland have reached a depth of 5 kilometers, marking a major milestone in the project's progress towards its 7-kilometer target. Since its inception, the ambitious geothermal drilling project in Szaflary has been making steady strides. As of the end of 2023, the well has successfully reached a depth of 5000 meters, uncovering promising results along the way. Notably, the well has tapped into a sizable reservoir boasting temperatures of 120 °C. The drilling will persist until it reaches the targeted depth of 7000 meters, where another aquifer is anticipated. The entire drilling endeavor is slated for completion within the first quarter of 2024. Initiated in 2019, the plans to drill a 7-kilometer geothermal well in Podhale, Szaflary aimed at gathering cruc
