Ceraphi Acquisition of Third Energy A Shift Towards Sustainable Geothermal

Revolutionizing Energy: CeraPhi's Acquisition of Third Energy Signals a Shift Towards Sustainable Geothermal Solutions**

In a groundbreaking move towards sustainable energy solutions, CeraPhi Energy has recently acquired Third Energy Limited, marking a pivotal moment in the transition from fossil fuels to renewable resources. With plans to repurpose former shale gas wells into clean geothermal energy centers, CeraPhi is spearheading innovation in the energy sector.

The acquisition includes key subsidiaries such as Third Energy Trading Limited and Wolfland Renewables Limited, solidifying CeraPhi's position as a leader in closed-loop geothermal energy development. Located in North Yorkshire, UK, the assets acquired comprise 8 well sites with 12 former gas wells, along with extensive subterranean pipelines and fiber optic communication lines.

CeraPhi's proprietary technology, including the CeraPhiWell™ system and CeraPhiPro™ modeling software, enables the company to deploy closed-loop geothermal energy solutions anywhere with unprecedented efficiency. By leveraging existing infrastructure and drilling new wells, CeraPhi aims to de-risk the scaling and commercialization of large-scale heat networks, ultimately reducing the space required for deployment and increasing the extraction of thermal energy available for network connections.

CEO Karl Farrow underscores the significance of this acquisition, emphasizing the urgent need to decarbonize heat and transition away from fossil fuels. Farrow states, "The decarbonization of heat represents a huge UK and global challenge in meeting our net zero targets. By using the inexhaustible resource beneath our feet using closed-loop technology, we can access this energy anywhere with zero environmental risk, enabling a move away from our dependency on fossil fuels."

Russell Hoare, Managing Director of Third Energy, echoes Farrow's sentiments, highlighting the successful collaboration between the two companies in a geothermal demonstrator project. He expresses optimism about the partnership, stating, "Bringing together the expertise of CeraPhi with the assets of Third Energy is a natural progression, and I look forward to working with Karl and his team to continue the story."

This acquisition not only signals a shift towards sustainable energy solutions but also underscores the immense potential of geothermal energy in addressing the global energy crisis. With CeraPhi at the forefront of innovation, the future of energy looks promising, with endless possibilities .

Geothermal Milestone Reached: Banska PGP-4 Well in Szaflary, Poland Hits 5-Kilometer Depth By : Robert Buluma In a significant development for geothermal energy enthusiasts, drilling operations at the Banska PGP-4 well in Szaflary, Poland have reached a depth of 5 kilometers, marking a major milestone in the project's progress towards its 7-kilometer target. Since its inception, the ambitious geothermal drilling project in Szaflary has been making steady strides. As of the end of 2023, the well has successfully reached a depth of 5000 meters, uncovering promising results along the way. Notably, the well has tapped into a sizable reservoir boasting temperatures of 120 °C. The drilling will persist until it reaches the targeted depth of 7000 meters, where another aquifer is anticipated. The entire drilling endeavor is slated for completion within the first quarter of 2024. Initiated in 2019, the plans to drill a 7-kilometer geothermal well in Podhale, Szaflary aimed at gathering cruc
