Position Overview 

The University of Stavanger is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join their dynamic research team. You'll dive deep into sustainable geothermal energy solutions, contributing to the forefront of thermal storage and geothermal project advancements. This role is embedded within the EU-funded GeoSTAIN project, emphasizing innovative technologies that could revolutionize how we store and utilize geothermal energy.


Key Responsibilities

 Conduct high-impact research on next-gen geothermal systems and thermal storage innovations.  

 Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team at UiS, including engineers, scientists, and international partners.  

Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at global conferences.  

 Contribute to project milestones, from lab experiments to real-world applications.

What They're Looking For

The ideal candidate is a recent PhD graduate (or soon-to-be) in fields like energy engineering, geosciences, mechanical engineering, or related disciplines. Key qualifications include:  

Strong background in geothermal energy, thermal storage, or renewable technologies.  

Experience with modeling, simulations, or experimental work in energy systems.  

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.  

Proficiency in English (Norwegian is a plus, but not required).  


No prior industry experience? No problem – this is about fresh ideas and enthusiasm for sustainability.
